The Director and the Play — Certificate

NIPAI (New International Performing Arts Institute), Berlin, Germany

"Certificate of Completion in Professional Play Analysis for Directors Duration: 3 months Format: Online / Distance Learning The Director and the Play is a practice-based directing course that teaches how to transform a written play script into a practical directing concept for the stage. It focuses on the director’s journey from reading and analysing a text to making artistic decisions about action, staging, actors, movement, rhythm, and performance structure. The course treats play analysis as a director’s working tool. Students learn how to discover what happens in a play, why it happens, and how those discoveries become concrete choices in rehearsal and performance."
